Resting on the western edge of Austin, the City of Bee Cave is a small, yet sophisticated, community in the hill country. Bee Cave residents benefit from being neighbors with the booming state capital. The continued outward expansion of the Austin metro has given Bee Cave an opportunity to improve its low level of awareness within the region. However, increased traffic has more often led to stand-stills and speeding than to people stopping by to check out some of Bee Cave’s offerings.
If visitors took a turn off of the main road, they would stumble upon a community with excellent retail and dining options, particularly in the Hill Country Galleria. The city relies heavily on sales tax in order to keep property taxes low, so constant foot traffic along the well-maintained paths and plazas is of utmost importance. Still, other solutions are required to ease the rising cost of living and lack of reasonably affordable housing for workers in the service and retail industries. A more formalized brand could help share Bee Cave’s desire for further awareness, understanding, and investment.
