‘Historically Edgy’ Downtown York Brand Earns Statewide Recognition

North Star was proud to work with York, PA on the evolution of its brand and that work was recently recognized by The Pennsylvania Downtown Center.  Downtown Inc received a Townie Award in the General Image category for the 2018 launch of the “Historically Edgy” destination brand.

“Downtown Inc is honored to receive this recognition from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center. This award is affirmation that our Historically Edgy brand has the potential to elevate Downtown York to the next level as a tourism destination,” Downtown Inc Director Elaine Bonneau said. “Downtown Inc looks forward to working with its community partners to use the brand to attract more visitors to a downtown that already features several of York County’s top tourist attractions. Our city has a compelling story to tell, and this brand continues to give us an authentic way to articulate what makes our downtown distinct.”
