Work Progresses for North Star Clients Across the Country

From the Highlands of New Jersey to a Southern college town and the roundabout capital of the world, North Star is busy at work with clients from coast to coast. We’re excited to be partnering with the following communities, uncovering what makes them distinct, crafting their authentic brand stories and building marketing strategies that help them reach their preferred futures.

Auburn, Alabama

Home to Auburn University, the City of Auburn is well-known for its college athletics, Southern charm, and unique traditions. But Auburn is much more than just an SEC college town. Recent growth over the last few decades has pushed Auburn into Alabama’s top ten largest cities. Excellent city services, innovative accessible playgrounds, and a booming high-tech manufacturing industry are only a few of the ways this city is growing its reputation beyond the university and becoming known for its ambition and quality of life.

Carmel, Indiana

Bordering Indianapolis to the north, Carmel shines beyond a suburb as Indiana’s 8th largest city and an economic leader for the state. The City of Carmel is frequently named as one of the best places to live in the U.S. due to its top-notch school system, prestigious arts and entertainment options, and economic vitality. This well-planned community boasts walkability and livability, and it proudly holds the title of roundabout capital of the United States. North Star is honored to work with such an outstanding community!

East Peoria, Illinois

Situated just across the river from its larger, better-known neighbor Peoria, the City of East Peoria stands strong in Central Illinois. The city’s industrial roots dig deep, as a key manufacturer of Caterpillar products and the location of CAT’s former global headquarters. Reinvention and downtown revitalization have turned East Peoria into a regional destination for retail, youth sports, and gaming. Each holiday season, community members decorate streets and floats for the famous Festival of Lights, but the great quality of life and caring community shine bright for all to see year-round.

Greater Palm Springs, California Economic Development

Known for its music festivals, luxury resorts and homes, and warm weather, Greater Palm Springs is a major tourism destination. While local businesses enjoy the benefits of the healthy tourism industry, there are many other offerings in Greater Palm Springs that promote economic growth. The area has a renowned healthcare industry, and residents enjoy a high quality of life. As Greater Palm Springs looks to diversify their economy and attract talent and industry, a shared vision and cohesive message will help them achieve their goals.

New Jersey Highlands Region

The Highlands Region spans across 88 municipalities within parts of seven counties in northern New Jersey, mixing rural and urban life with everything in between. This beautiful land has a storied history, and the communities celebrate and cherish their heritage. Natural vitality, watershed preservation, and environmental sustainability are priorities in the Highlands Region. Tourism and agriculture come hand in hand, allowing visitors to wander through orchards, pick berries, and shop at farmers’ markets. Telling a unified story of cultural richness is New Jersey Highlands Region’s next step in ensuring economic sustainability for their residents and local businesses, while also inviting those from afar to experience this beautiful, historic place.

Pittsburg, California

Lying on the outskirts of the Bay Area, the City of Pittsburg is anchored on the edge of an inland waterway. Water access is an important part of the community’s vitality, from industrial operations finding their home on its shores to a city-owned boat marina. The community is hard-working and proud, encouraging families to remain here generation after generation. Pittsburg offers a high quality of life—with access to the San Francisco metro without the hustle of a large city. Great retail, restaurants, and city events make Pittsburg an attractive place for residents, workers, and business owners to find their home.
